About The Position

This role involves leading group fitness sessions across various locations within the Chicago market while providing the highest level of customer service. Additionally, you will offer member support from the front desk during desk coverage shifts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere at each location. The goal is to bring wellness and peak performance to building tenants, making their building a place they are excited to show up to every day.

Requirements

  • 1+ years experience in a fitness center environment teaching group fitness classes in formats such as strength, bootcamp, HIIT, core, etc.
  • A valid Group Fitness certification from a nationally recognized organization.
  • An up-to-date CPR and AED certification.
  • Technologically savvy and can assist members with class and training sign-ups through our native technology as needed.
  • Exceeded customer expectations in previous roles, with an innate hospitality mindset.
  • Highly organized and effective at reprioritizing work.
  • Stellar communication skills, both in email and verbally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the corporate fitness or wellness sector.
  • Experience teaching specialty group formats such as yoga or pilates.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead group fitness classes throughout various locations in downtown Chicago.
  • Provide timely and professional communication to members before and after sessions to ensure a hospitality-focused experience.
  • Ensure a wonderful experience for clients at the front desk and by anticipating their needs and bringing special touches to every session (e.g., equipment prepared ahead of time, towels placed on mats).
  • Prioritize client satisfaction by actively engaging with the client to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Implement innovative strategies and programs to enhance their experience, fostering a vibrant and connected community that drives long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Support the Operations Team with projects to increase client engagement and member experience.

Benefits

  • $50 per fitness class
  • $23 per hour for front desk coverage
