About The Position

This role involves leading group fitness sessions across various locations in the Chicago market while providing the highest level of customer service. Additionally, you will offer member support from the front desk during desk coverage shifts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere at each location. The goal is to bring wellness and peak performance to the masses and make the work environment an exciting place to be.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a fitness center environment teaching group fitness classes in formats such as strength, bootcamp, HIIT, core, etc.
  • Valid Group Fitness certification from a nationally recognized organization.
  • Up-to-date CPR and AED certification.
  • Technologically savvy and able to assist members with class and training sign-ups through native technology.
  • Exceeded customer expectations in previous roles.
  • Innately possess a hospitality mindset and enjoy serving others.
  • Extremely organized and able to constantly reprioritize work.
  • Stellar multi-tasker.
  • Clearly communicate points verbally and in writing.
  • Experience communicating about bookings (coordinating and confirming), sending vendor communications, and engaging with different levels of tenants.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the corporate fitness or wellness sector.
  • Experience teaching specialty group formats such as yoga or pilates.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead group fitness classes throughout various locations in downtown Chicago.
  • Provide timely and professional communication to members before and after sessions to ensure a hospitality-focused experience.
  • Ensure a wonderful experience for clients at the front desk by anticipating their needs and bringing special touches to every session (e.g., equipment prepared, towels placed, smallest details attended to).
  • Prioritize client satisfaction by actively engaging with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Implement innovative strategies and programs to enhance client experience, fostering a vibrant and connected community that drives long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Support the Operations Team with projects to increase client engagement and member experience.
