About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Group Facilitator for their First Shift (8:00 AM-4:30 PM), five days per week, including every other weekend. This role involves facilitating psychoeducational, process, and therapeutic groups to support clients in their recovery journey. The facilitator will help clients develop healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools, while collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team to monitor client progress. Accurate and timely documentation of group sessions and client interactions, in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards, is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

• Current Indiana clinical license or addiction counseling credential (CADAC I-V, LAC, LCAC, LMHC, or LMFT)
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and observational skills
• Strong clinical judgment and professionalism
• Compassionate, ethical, and dependable, with a genuine passion for helping others
• If in recovery, a minimum of one year of sustained sobriety is required

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in substance use or behavioral health treatment preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitate psychoeducational, process, and therapeutic groups that support clients throughout their recovery journey
• Help clients develop healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and the multidisciplinary treatment team to monitor client progress
• Communicate significant client concerns promptly to the Clinical Director or appropriate clinical leadership
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for all group sessions and client interactions
• Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
