About The Position

The Group Director, Advanced Analytics will lead the strategy and execution of advanced analytics to enable data-driven decision-making and transform merchandising. They will apply machine learning, AI, and advanced modeling to solve complex business problems and deliver predictive insights, automation, and improved speed to action, and partner cross-functionally to align analytics capabilities with business strategy and enterprise priorities.

Requirements

  • Experience leading advanced analytics or data science functions in a complex organization.
  • Expertise in machine learning, AI, and advanced modeling with a track record of business impact.
  • Ability to translate complex problems into scalable analytics solutions.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder influence.
  • Experience delivering analytics solutions from concept to production.
  • Product mindset with focus on user-centric, scalable tools and insights.

  • Effective communication skills translating technical work into business outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 7 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 9 years' experience in data analytics or related field.
  • 7 years' supervisory experience OR experience leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced analytics strategy by identifying key business challenges and aligning solutions to enterprise and merchandising priorities.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership, using data and advanced analytics to influence decisions and shape long-term customer strategies.
  • Develop and apply machine learning, AI, and advanced models to deliver predictive insights, intelligent decisioning, and scalable solutions.
  • Direct development and deployment of models and algorithms, from concept through production, ensuring alignment to business outcomes.
  • Oversee proof of concepts and implementation of new analytics capabilities, validating impact and scaling successful solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies (for example AI, NLP, intelligent agents) and integrate them to improve decision-making and efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional partnerships with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Merchandising to deliver integrated solutions at scale.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment of data and analytics strategies across teams and business priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and enhance speed to action while maintaining appropriate human oversight.
  • Provide overall direction by developing strategies, aligning resources, evaluating performance, and driving measurable results.
  • Develop and lead high-performing teams, building advanced analytics capabilities and supporting talent growth.
  • Cultivate a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop partnerships to drive innovation and maximize business outcomes.
