About The Position

The Senior Manager, Data Analytics leads the development and execution of data strategies and experiences that drive informed business decisions across assortment. This role requires expertise in data quality management, advanced analytics, and visualization techniques to translate complex data into actionable insights. The position involves guiding teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. By leveraging deep business understanding and technical proficiency, the Senior Manager fosters continuous improvement, supports data governance, and champions innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and strategic outcomes.

Requirements

  • Understanding of Walmart’s merchandising organization, or the ability to learn incredibly quickly across various categories and departments.
  • Extensive experience in data analytics, including data discovery, cleansing, and visualization.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, mentoring associates, and driving continuous process improvements.
  • Proficiency in workflow management and applying advanced statistical and exploratory data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to present insights and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • 1 year's supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Data science, data analysis, statistics, or related field, Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Related industry experience (for example, retail, merchandising, healthcare, eCommerce)
