This role involves processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received through various channels. The Group Coordinator will identify guest needs, determine appropriate room types, verify availability and rates, and explain relevant policies. They will also accommodate special requests, answer questions about property facilities and services, and utilize sales techniques to maximize revenue. Communication regarding designated VIP reservations and inputting/accessing data in the reservation system are key functions. The role also requires responding to challenges in accommodating rooming requests by collaborating with appropriate departments, overseeing the accuracy of room blocks and reservations, inputting group rooming lists, revising room blocks, and maintaining organized files. Setting up proper billing accounts according to Accounting policies is also a responsibility.
