About The Position

We give our guests the Medallion Class experience others simply can’t. The Love Boat promises something for everyone. We are looking to hire a Coordinator, Group Services. The Coordinator, Group Services is responsible for communicating with guests, Travel Advisors, incentive companies, internal relevant departments and is essential to understand the needs and arrange group and wedding venues, onboard events, and dining requests. Planning and scheduling group events, weddings, special events, in-port functions and dining arrangements are key responsibilities. Additionally, collecting and processing payments for prepaid group events and weddings, special events or in-port functions are part of the role. Managing and maintaining GO & OEM group dining allocation for all ships is crucial. Support for the onboard Events & Guest Services Supervisor with inquiries related to groups, weddings, special events or in-port functions is also provided. Requirements

  • Guest centric with strong customer service skills.
  • Great sense of ownership service recovery.
  • Creative, efficient and effective bottom line operator.
  • Strong planning skills, with an innovative, hands-on, practical approach.
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice for operational support.
  • Customer Service / Event Planning - minimum 1 year AND/OR Hospitality – minimum 1 year OR Sales – minimum 1 year
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Princess office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with guests, Travel Advisors, incentive companies and relevant shoreside & shipboard departments.
  • Manages and maintains GO & OEM group dining allocation for all ships.
  • Supports the shipboard Events & Guest Services Supervisor with any inquiries pertaining to groups, weddings or special events.
  • Collects and processes payments for prepaid group events , Weddings, special events or in-port functions.
  • Supports both shoreside and shipboard teams with the planning and coordination of in-port functions & events.
