About The Position

National Grid is seeking a Group Assurance Manager for our National Grid Office in Waltham, MA, with a hybrid work arrangement. To work closely with all levels of management within each of our business areas to help in the identification, management and reporting of risks related to the achievement of their strategic objects. Develop, enhance and maintain risk management processes to drive greater efficiencies, support business decision making and ensure compliance with legal/regulatory and corporate governance requirements. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key contacts, including risk champions, coordinators and senior leaders within business areas in order to understand their business objectives and the distinct risks to achieving these objectives. Assist the business in identifying key risks including each risk's threats, opportunities, outcomes and controls; assessing each risk's likelihood of occurrence and potential impact at current and risk management target levels; identifying and monitoring of control environment enhancement actions so as to manage these risks in accordance with the company's risk appetite. Stay abreast of internal and external developments that may impact the company's risk profile and leverage this information to understand and challenge the content of business area risk registers including risk identification, control opinions, and risk scoring. Train and provide guidance to risk champions and coordinators regarding implementation of the company's risk management framework in their area. Promote risk awareness and risk management maturity across National Grid. Provide an independent risk management view on business area and company-wide projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or extensive risk and compliance management experience required
  • IRM, CIA, CRMA or other relevant industry certification
