About The Position

The Groundskeeper maintains the clean, neat, and aesthetically appealing appearance of assigned areas, with a focus on the property's exterior and grounds. The role involves cleaning common areas and outdoor spaces, handling waste, maintaining equipment and supplies, completing forms and work orders, and reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns. The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and handling cleaning equipment and solutions. The work schedule is Thursday to Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; the schedule may change to accommodate business needs.

Requirements

At least two years of experience working in groundskeeping or janitorial work.
Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products.
Ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Empty and clean ashtrays and transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors and common areas using appropriate manual or powered equipment.
Keep storage areas and carts stocked, clean, and tidy.
Complete required forms and work orders.
Inspect common areas and maintain their cleanliness and appearance, including painting when necessary.
Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas.
Wash outdoor walls, ceilings, and woodwork, and wax or polish as necessary.
Report maintenance issues, including burned-out lights, leaks, and broken equipment, to the Building Maintenance Department.
Protect residents, guests, and property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
Use new equipment properly and follow safety procedures before operating it.
React to and address emergency situations in a timely manner.
