Groundskeeper
About The Position
The Groundskeeper safely performs assigned grounds and lawn maintenance duties under the direction of the Project Manager and provides quality service to customers. The position requires knowledge of the work and a willingness to learn all aspects of the job. The Groundskeeper may also assist with indoor custodial duties as needed or assigned by the Project Manager. The role may involve travel between locations and buildings in varying weather conditions, although most work takes place indoors. The employee may work with cleaning chemicals and must follow the Emergency Operations Work Assignment as required by the customer. Schedules may change and may include early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Drug testing is required.
Requirements
- At least one year of related experience.
- Ability to understand oral and/or written instructions.
- Ability to interact appropriately with customers and staff members.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specified contract(s).
- Must pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
- Must meet the described physical demands, including regularly bending, crouching, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, sitting to drive, and lifting up to 40 pounds; occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Drug testing is required.
