About The Position
Friends University is seeking to fill the Groundskeeper position in Wichita Kansas. This position assists with the maintenance of all campus grounds seasonally from approximately March 1 through November 30. The position also assists with all general maintenance tasks assigned by the Director of Physical Plant from approximately December 1 through February 28. Requirements
- Two year’s experience in grounds or related environment required.
- Knowledge of riding mowers, lawn tractors, gas-powered edger, and trimmers, lawn vacuum, hedge trimmers, utility vehicle, and various hand tools.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions and withstand extreme hot and cold working conditions, loud noise environments.
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds.
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
- A motor vehicle report will be run to verify insurability and to become an approved driver by the University’s insurance carrier.
