About The Position

The Groundskeeper ("Jardinero/a") performs skilled landscaping and manual work necessary to maintain grounds. Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor to our guests and co-workers.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
• Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
• Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
• Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass, waters lawns, feeds and trims shrubs, tends flower beds and regularly inspects assigned work areas to insure proper standards are maintained.
• Operates lawn and grounds equipment including power mowers, leaf blowers, bucket loaders and other power equipment.
• Plans, plants and maintains exterior and interior landscaping in accordance with the landscaping plan.
• Maintains a small greenhouse.
• Prepares and maintains fields.
• Removes refuse and trash from grounds.
• Practices good housekeeping techniques, including maintaining a safe work environment and an organized and clean work area.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
