About The Position

Responsible for maintenance, care and upkeep of all Grounds and related equipment throughout the District.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year Grounds experience.
• Must have phone for emergency contact.
• Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations.
• Supervises crew in weekly maintenance of assigned sites to include mowing, weeding, edging, site cleanup, gravel playgrounds and non-selective spraying (fence lines, trees, walks, etc.).
• Manages, trains and coaches assigned personnel on maintenance.
• Provides direction on jobs, work orders and priorities.
• Observes and reports on irrigation and landscaping needs to Supervisor.
• Assists in district stadium cleanup and repairs.
• Repairs and installs fences, both wood and chain link.
• Completes assigned landscaping to include plant placement and other planting as well as rock or bark work.
• Available for on call snow removal as assigned.
• Applies fertilizer.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
