About The Position

Responsible for maintenance, care and upkeep for all Grounds and related equipment throughout the District.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year experience in operation of equipment related to job description.
• Must have phone for emergency contact.
• Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Must have or obtain CDL Class A within six (6) months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manages all equipment and personnel assigned. Responsible for daily operation and maintenance of assigned machine or vehicle. Follows all safety rules and regulations.
• Aerates and applies fertilizer as scheduled.
• Performs weekly maintenance of assigned sites, including mowing, weeding, edging, site cleanup and gravel playgrounds. Runs large area mower on a route.
• Maintains knowledge of irrigation layout at all facilities.
• Available for after-hours sweeping, sanding and snow removal as assigned.
• Assists in landscape construction and repair, to include repair and installation of fences, both wood and chain link.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
