About The Position

Sodexo is growing and looking for a Groundskeeper to join their dynamic team. This is a seasonal position with 25-30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role offers a great team environment, work-life balance, and the opportunity to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

A high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is required.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to quality assurance and safety.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of related work experience is preferred.
Dynamic and reliable person.

Responsibilities

Mow lawns and trim grass around walkways, flower beds, and walls.
Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth.
Remove damaged leaves, branches, and twigs using mowers, tractors, and other hand and power tools.
Maintain flower beds or other decorative plants.
Maintain and sharpen tools and make minor repairs to equipment as required.
Plant, fertilize, water, and use herbicides and insecticides to maintain lawns, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and driveways, spreading salt and picking up trash.
Clean drainage ditches and culverts.
Maintain driveways and parking lots.
Repair fences, gates, walls, and irrigation systems using carpentry, masonry, and painting tools.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of gardening and grounds equipment.
Operate trucks and various motorized equipment such as mowers, tractors, two-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain saws, electric mowers, lawn trimmers, and pruning saws.
Attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as needed.
Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned as required.
