About The Position

The Groundskeeper maintains the appearance of grounds at Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma properties. The role reports to the Grounds Supervisor or Manager and involves maintaining lawns, landscaping, trees, hedges, and shrubs; keeping grounds and work areas clear; and occasionally removing snow and ice.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and follow written or oral task directions.
• Ability to understand government public health regulations as needed.
• Ability to understand and follow safety standards related to the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate lawn equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, edgers, and blowers.
• Pick up trash and perform routine tasks to maintain the grounds.
• Maintain established lawns and landscaping by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, and planting.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge trimmers.
• Care for trees, hedges, and shrubs using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Occasionally remove snow and ice manually from walkways, drives, and similar areas.
• Keep work areas clear of clutter and debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
