About The Position

As a Groundskeeper, you'll be our outdoor maintenance expert, ensuring the pristine condition of our facilities' grounds throughout all four seasons. Your role involves year-round landscaping, seasonal preparations, and hands-on outdoor maintenance. You'll need to adapt to the ever-changing weather conditions while maintaining the safety and aesthetics of our outdoor spaces. Working alongside the Facilities team, your dedication will play a crucial role in providing an inviting and well-kept environment for everyone.

Requirements

Bilingual French and English (an asset) and must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly as required
Experience with landscaping, general maintenance and minor home repairs
Proficient skills in operating various hand tools and power equipment
Highly motivated and able to work independently
Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
Reliable transportation and driver’s license
Strong organizational and follow up skills, detail-oriented
Professional presentation and attitude
Ability to maintain focus while working autonomously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Responsibilities

Prepare outdoor areas for various weather conditions
Maintain parking lots and all outdoor grounds (shoveling, sweeping, etc.)
Operate and maintain garden and landscaping equipment
Weatherproof areas, cover outdoor furniture with tarps, tie-down unsecured items
Install seasonal decor (outdoor Christmas decorations, signage, etc.)
Maintain gardens and lawns including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching and applying pesticides
Identify and diagnose issues and correct them
Other tasks and outdoor repairs as required
