About The Position

Greystar is hiring a Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the grounds, amenities, common areas, and overall curb appeal of two single-family communities in Charlotte, North Carolina: Yardly Steele Creek and Yardly City Park. The role also provides support to service team members and assists with apartment make-ready work. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between both communities are required. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, with a flexible work schedule that may include evening, weekend, and holiday on-call duties. The hourly pay range is $18.00–$20.00. The position may also be eligible for onsite team member bonus programs. Requirements

Reliable transportation and ability to fulfill job duties at both Charlotte-area communities.
Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods; bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet.
Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evening, weekend, and holiday on-call duties.
Ability to travel as needed to assist other properties and attend training or business meetings.

Responsibilities

Inspect the community throughout the day, removing litter, debris, and pet droppings and keeping common areas and amenities neat.
Remove trash and remaining items from vacant apartments before make-ready work, transfer trash to the appropriate dumpster or storage area, and clean and maintain storage areas.
Complete assigned minor and routine service requests and assist the make-ready specialist with the unit-turn process.
Change locks in accordance with property policy and ensure pool-area gates operate according to codes and safety standards.
Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
Report observed hazards or potentially dangerous situations to appropriate supervisors.
Provide respectful customer service, answer resident questions, and respond sensitively to complaints about maintenance services.
Follow safety and risk-management policies, participate in routine safety meetings, complete required OSHA and other safety training, and promptly and accurately report accidents and incidents.
Travel between the two assigned communities and, as needed, other properties or locations for training, meetings, or other work-related responsibilities.
Take on-call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the flexible work schedule.
