About The Position

The Groundskeeper (Porter) is an entry-level position supporting general maintenance, janitorial work, and basic upkeep of a resort-style community clubhouse and its grounds. The role maintains the clean and neat appearance of assigned interior and exterior areas and helps set up and break down events as required. It reports to the Facilities Manager. This is a full-time position with hours that vary according to clubhouse needs, events, staffing, and community requirements.

Requirements

• Be reliable and hardworking.
• Be able to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Be able to lift 20–30 lbs and remain on your feet for most of the shift.
• Have a good attitude and provide strong customer service to residents and guests.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in janitorial, groundskeeping, housekeeping, or porter work.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, bathrooms, locker rooms, the gym, and patios.
• Sweep, dust, and mop floors, and clean windows.
• Assist with daily pool-area cleaning, including vacuuming, skimming, wiping chairs and tables, and removing debris.
• Empty trash and keep indoor and outdoor areas neat and presentable.
• Set up and break down rooms for events, classes, holiday decorations, and resident activities.
• Perform simple tasks such as replacing light bulbs and report maintenance issues.
• Keep supply rooms and carts organized.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
