About The Position

A & Associates is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper/Laborer to provide grounds maintenance services at a residential community in San Pedro, California. The successful candidate will help keep the property clean and well maintained for residents, staff, and visitors.

This is a temporary assignment lasting approximately three months, with a scheduled start in early November. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch period. The pay rate is $18.42 per hour. The work location is LAAFB Housing, 2400 S. Pacific Ave., San Pedro, CA 90731, and the role is in person.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Dependable and punctual, with the ability to maintain a consistent work schedule.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous groundskeeping or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience operating power blowers or pressure washers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and debris throughout the property.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles throughout the community, including playgrounds, office facilities, and dog parks or waste stations.
• Sweep and blow parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances.
• Pressure wash sidewalks, community buildings, and resident homes.
• Operate power blowers or use brooms to clear leaves and debris from first-level rooftops, sidewalks, and driveways.
• Ensure the worksite is cleaned up after each task.
• Follow established safety procedures when performing duties and operating equipment.
