About The Position

The Greenbrier Hotel Group dba The Greenbrier Hotel located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia seeks Six (6) full-time Temporary Grounds Keepers who will be responsible for performing all landscaping and grounds maintenance responsibilities at the highest level needed to meet or exceed the Hotels expectation of being the #1 resort in the world. This role requires understanding instructions verbally or in writing from Grounds Supervisors and then being able to complete the assigned work professionally and within budgeted goals. Responsibilities include mowing grass, planting and caring for flower beds, shrubs, trees, lawns and event spaces. The position reports directly to the Grounds Manager.

Requirements

  • Three (3) months of experience performing grounds work which includes owing grass, planting shrubs, flowers or bulbs, raking grass or leaves or other relevant landscape duties.
  • Basic English required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all landscaping and grounds maintenance responsibilities at the highest level needed to meet or exceed the Hotels expectation of being the #1 resort in the world.
  • Understanding instructions verbally or in writing from Grounds Supervisors and then being able to complete the assigned work professionally and within budgeted goals.
  • Mowing grass, planting and caring for flower beds, shrubs, trees, lawns and event spaces.

  • Overtime is available and guaranteed at no less than $21.62 per hour.
  • All wages will be paid bi-weekly.
  • Employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work after completing 50% of the work contract period.
  • Employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.
  • Employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek.
  • Employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek.
  • Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
  • The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
  • H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).
