About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Grounds Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the outside grounds of the property are always maintained at the best possible condition with the least amount of inconvenience to guests and associates in all types of weather. You will be responsible for maintaining the grounds including but not limited to trimming of grass, trees, shrubs, removal and planting of all types of plants, as well as snow removal and hazards/obstructions removed. Requirements

Certification in landscaping, horticulture, or irrigation system management
Experience with scheduling and managing maintenance teams
Familiarity with local regulations related to grounds maintenance and environmental compliance

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the groundskeeping and maintenance team to maintain high standards of lawn care, irrigation, and building upkeep.
Inspect grounds and facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
Manage irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use and healthy landscaping, adjusting schedules based on weather and seasonal requirements.
Train and mentor team members on proper maintenance techniques, safety protocols, and equipment use.
Collaborate with property management to plan and execute landscaping projects, seasonal plantings, and special event preparations.
