About The Position

Performs general maintenance and repair work on Teton County/Jackson grounds, facilities, parks and right of way. This position is open until filled and offers both full-time and seasonal opportunities. The expected schedule varies by season, with winter hours from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and summer hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. A recruitment incentive of $1500 is available for eligible candidates.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Up to 1 year experience in grounds maintenance, building maintenance, or related field
Must possess a valid Wyoming/Idaho Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Knowledge of County policies and procedures.
Knowledge of proper use of basic power tools, hand tools and equipment.
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and landscaping repair and maintenance methods.
Knowledge of safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
Skills in operating various tools.
Skills in following written and verbal instructions.
Skills in working with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities

Cleans and maintains grounds, restrooms, and facilities.
Paints, builds, and installs fencing.
Mops floors, sweeps dirt, and rakes leaves.
Mows turf.
Removes snow from pathways and sidewalks.
Collects litter from grounds and facilities and empties trash receptacles.
Performs preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
Purchases equipment, tools, and supplies.
Conducts basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance and repair.
Operates tractors, mowers, vehicles, and various light equipment.
Supports the relationship between Teton County staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior.
Maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
