Grounds Equipment Operator (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About The Position
Operates equipment used for facilities maintenance. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and offers higher pay due to community-approved funding through June 2031.
Requirements
- Three (3) years experience operating a variety of industrial equipment.
- Equivalent trade school training
- Valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement.
- Mechanical skills or experience.
- Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
- FBI fingerprint background check.
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
- MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
- Post-offer/pre-employment 50 lbs lift test.
- ADOT (Arizona Dept. of Transportation) Medical Certificate required after hire.
- Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.
