About The Position
This is a full-time position responsible for collecting fees and providing directions for waste disposal and recycling at the county’s convenience centers. The role also involves performing general maintenance of grounds and facilities, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will display a positive attitude and safe work habits, prioritizing safety above all else. This position requires the ability to work in all weather conditions and maintain personal mobile technology as a condition of employment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience performing cashiering and/or grounds maintenance duties, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and experience in cashiering operations
- Basic computer and calculator skills
- Accurate record keeping
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to sixty pounds
- Current valid driver’s license and good driving record
- DMV records must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months
- Out-of-state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview
- Driving records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date
- Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required
- Must maintain personal mobile technology as a condition of employment
