About The Position

Five Rivers Analytics, an Akima company, is seeking a Ground Systems Controller to support our mission at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. The Ground Systems Controller will operate and monitor mission ground systems, perform routine system checks, respond to technical issues, and support mission activities in accordance with established procedures. The position will coordinate with engineering, operations, and government personnel to maintain system availability and ensure accurate mission reporting. Requirements

Three or more years of relevant experience in ground systems operations, satellite operations, command and control, systems monitoring, or a related technical field.
Experience operating or monitoring complex hardware and software systems.
Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and respond appropriately to system alerts and anomalies.
Ability to document operational activity clearly and communicate system status to technical and mission personnel.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, mission-focused environment.
Ability to support shift work, weekends, holidays, or nonstandard hours based on mission requirements.
Active TS/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

Operates and monitors ground systems, hardware, software, and supporting equipment.
Performs scheduled system checks and verifies equipment readiness before mission activities.
Monitors system performance and identifies, documents, and reports potential issues.
Responds to system alerts and anomalies using established procedures and escalation processes.
Assists with troubleshooting and recovery actions under the direction of senior controllers, engineers, or mission leadership.
Maintains accurate operational logs, status reports, and turnover documentation.
Coordinates with government personnel, engineers, and other operations team members during mission activities.
Supports system testing, maintenance, configuration changes, and restoration activities.
Follows cybersecurity, configuration-management, safety, and operational requirements.
Performs shift work in support of mission requirements, as needed.
Completes required training and maintains position certification.
