This role involves making repairs to Ground Support Equipment (GSE) under the guidance of a higher-grade worker. Responsibilities include troubleshooting malfunctions using various testing equipment, preparing GSE for storage and transportation, maintaining equipment records using automated systems, and servicing external fuel and grounding systems. The worker will perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspect and test GSE to ensure serviceability, and service equipment with necessary fluids and air. This includes disassembling, assembling, repairing, cleaning, and reinstalling GSE components and accessories. Additionally, the role requires stenciling and marking GSE according to technical publications, handling hazardous materials and waste in compliance with environmental regulations, and operating, cleaning, inspecting, and servicing GSE towing vehicles. Maintaining vehicle records, updating paper and electronic equipment records, and providing dispatch services for GSE, including positioning equipment for aircraft support, are also key functions. Good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety practices are expected at all times.
