About The Position
Arbor Masters is seeking a Ground Specialist to support tree-service operations. This skilled labor role is vital to safety, quality, and production. The Ground Specialist is directly supervised and trained by the Foreman in all areas of ground operations. The work is seasonal and pays $20–$23 per hour. Arbor Masters is a third-generation, family-owned tree service and plant-care business that emphasizes safety, excellence, and an inclusive workplace. The role involves outdoor, labor-intensive work in varying weather and on uneven terrain.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to follow directions and be safety conscious.
- Ability to perform labor-intensive outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Ability to navigate uneven terrain; stand, walk, bend, crouch, and reach; and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are maintained and accounted for before and after each job.
- Assist the climber with appropriate tools and safety protocols.
- Remove limbs and debris to the disposal area, including raking and basic yard cleanup.
- Operate hand equipment, including chainsaws, rakes, and blowers.
- Maintain a high level of quality in all work performed.
- Complete duties in compliance with Arbor Masters safety policies, ANSI Z133.1, OSHA safety standards, and ANSI A300 Pruning standards.
