About The Position

As a member of SavATree’s General Tree Care team, the Ground Operations Specialist supports field operations by providing high-quality tree care services that preserve and enhance clients’ landscapes. The work includes collaborating with crew members on pruning, removals, cabling, bracing, and other tree care tasks; safely operating chainsaws, rigging, and specialized equipment; and applying climbing and pruning techniques to maintain tree health and safety. The role involves serving clients on a variety of properties, following safety protocols and industry best practices, and developing expertise through hands-on outdoor work.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Desire to work outdoors and passion for tree care.
• Willingness to learn to climb trees without spurs, prune effectively, and identify native and introduced species.
• Interest in mastering chainsaw operation and equipment handling.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.
• Physical stamina and ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
