About The Position

The Grotto Cook II is responsible for assisting the sous chef with the preparation and presentation of the daily menus, especially high-quality specials, soups, stews, and chilies, for the employee dining room. Deer Valley Resort is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team for the Summer 2026 season. The resort is located in Park City, Utah, and prides itself on a diverse and welcoming workforce.

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Produce flavorful dishes adhering to production standards and time constraints.
  • Cook dishes according to recipes and develop new food selections in conjunction with the sous chef and executive chef.
  • Keep service lines clean, change pans as needed, and ensure food selections are well-stocked and appropriately garnished.
  • Properly store and rotate food to ensure freshness and avoid waste.
  • Completed daily inventories.
  • Assist servers during busy times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
