CityVet Crabtree Groomer- Associate
About The Position
CityVet is seeking a Pet Groomer to maintain animals’ physical appearance according to client expectations and requests. The Groomer builds lasting client relationships by providing high-quality grooming services, including bathing, supervising bathing, nail trims, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, and haircuts. The role manages the grooming schedule to coordinate client demand with grooming-staff availability, with a target of an average of 10–12 grooms per day with bathing assistance or 6 grooms per day without bathing assistance. The Groomer communicates with clients and maintains electronic records of grooming instructions, animal habits and sensitivities, and other client preferences. The role also trains, supervises, and develops bathing team members. This is an hourly position that transitions to commission on or before one year of employment, based on business needs.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
- Understand how to safely and properly restrain animals.
- Have at least 1 year of experience as a Groomer or Groomer's Apprentice, or have received formal instruction from a reputable grooming program.
Responsibilities

- Train, supervise, and develop bathing team members on proper bathing policies and help them develop their skills.
