About The Position

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to Price Chopper customers. Manages the store’s grocery operations, including financial targets, order fulfillment, sanitation, and inventory control of nonperishable merchandise, with the goal of promoting sales. Oversees Grocery personnel and is responsible for overseeing the entire store operation when scheduled. The role may also oversee General Merchandise and Health and Beauty Care departments in stores whose volume does not warrant a separate General Merchandise Manager.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to manage others and follow through to achieve desired results and objectives.
Strong communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
High school degree or equivalent.
Three or more years of related experience.
Satisfactory performance reviews.

Responsibilities

Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
Handle and merchandise grocery products according to company policy, and maintain knowledge of grocery products for customers.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation in accordance with 5S standards.
Manage retail grocery operations, including dry grocery, dairy, frozen food, and direct store delivery (DSD).
Oversee General Merchandise and Health and Beauty Care operations in applicable stores, including financials and merchandising programs within corporate standards.
Manage Grocery department budgets and financial results, including budgeted sales, gross margin, shrink, CTO, and payroll.
Coordinate merchandising of Grocery and General Merchandise products and ensure departments are stocked and presented to corporate standards.
Oversee total store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Co-Manager.
Manage department associates and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Train and develop Grocery department associates.
Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, merchandising, and corporate and state pricing standards.
Control shrink by following related policies and procedures.
Coordinate with other department managers on merchandise displays and delivery schedules.
Oversee the backroom area, including warehouse and vendor merchandise.
Ensure all authorized items are available in every set.
Perform other related duties as assigned and follow company policies and procedures.
