About The Position

The Grocery Stocker stocks, rotates, and conditions grocery products according to company standards while providing polite and friendly service to guests and hosts. The role includes maintaining safe, neat, and sanitary sales-floor and backroom areas; organizing backstock; controlling inventory and minimizing product damage and shrink; assisting with deliveries; communicating temperature problems in dairy and frozen foods; supporting front-end duties as needed; and ordering products for assigned aisles. The position is part-time and offers flexible schedules.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 40 pounds constantly and 60 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Knowledge of grocery operations.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Effective communication and guest-service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push and pull stock carts, and operate a pallet jack for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and hosts.
Stock, rotate, and condition grocery products on shelves according to Floco Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
Maintain a neat and safe work area so guests can shop without agitation.
Keep backstock organized and inventoried in the backroom.
Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control, rotation of shelves and overstock, and product handling.
Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom.
Communicate dairy and frozen-food temperature problems to a supervisor.
Perform front-end duties as necessary to uphold and maintain the “no noticeable wait” standard.
Order products for assigned aisles as directed by management.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
