About The Position

Kj’s Market is hiring a part-time Grocery Stocker. The role supports grocery operations by stocking, rotating, and conditioning products; maintaining safe, clean, and organized sales-floor and backroom areas; assisting with deliveries; and providing friendly service to guests. The position may also involve front-end duties and ordering products for assigned aisles.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 40 pounds constantly and 60 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Knowledge of grocery operations.
Willingness and ability to learn multiple tasks and the technical requirements of the job.
Effective communication and guest-service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push and pull stock carts, and operate a pallet jack for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and hosts.
Stock, rotate, and condition grocery products on shelves according to Floco Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
Maintain a neat and safe work area for guests.
Keep backstock organized and inventoried in the backroom.
Minimize damage and shrink through inventory control, product rotation, and proper handling.
Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise deliveries.
Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom.
Communicate temperature problems involving dairy and frozen foods to a supervisor.
Perform front-end duties as needed to maintain the “no noticeable wait” standard.
Order products for assigned aisles as directed by management.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
