Grocery Clerk I - Killam Food
About The Position
Wild Rose Co-op is looking for a Grocery Clerk I to join our Killam Food Store Team! Co-op does business differently. As a co-operative, we believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing customers with excellent, efficient, courteous service, maintaining a neat, clean, fresh and well merchandised department, and all duties associated with inventory stocking and taking inventory counts. This role also requires compliance with government standards and regulations, completing in-house training and certifications, being alert for the unauthorized removal of merchandise and equipment, ensuring the quality and condition of all merchandise meets the store’s standards, following all cleaning and maintenance schedules, and compliance with all Safety policies and procedures. The position requires the use of computers, standing, lifting, bending, crouching, and heavy lifting of products.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service is an asset
- Committed to providing excellent customer service to our member-owners as well as internal customers
- Quality communication skills

Responsibilities
- Providing customers with excellent, efficient, courteous service

- Compliance with government standards and regulations that apply to the Killam Food store
- Complete up-to-date in-house training and certifications via e-learning courses
- Alert for the unauthorized removal of merchandise and equipment
- Ensure the quality and condition of all merchandise meets the store’s standards
- Follow all cleaning and maintenance schedules
- Compliance with all Safety policies and procedures and look out for the safety of others
- Adhere to all Wild Rose Co-op policies and procedures
