About The Position

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Operations Team as a Grip Ship Lead. This role is responsible for leading a team of 1-5 team members, ensuring efficient pick-packing line setup, accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining high service levels. The Grip Ship Lead will also prepare items for shipment, ensuring packaging meets quality standards and protects items during transit, while maintaining workflow and observing best practices throughout the day.

Requirements

At least 2 years of increasing responsibility in a warehouse or distribution setting.
Previous experience operating electric pallet jack and/or reach forklift.
Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, packing, and leadership role in order fulfillment setting.
Ability to train, motivate, coach, and lead team members.
Ability to demonstrate timely decisions using sound judgement.
Ability to interact effectively with other departments within the organization.
Ability to have strong computer skills with experience in a Pick-Packing line setting.
Ability to operate and have a basic understanding of mechanical operation of pallet jack, reach forklift, manlift, and other warehouse equipment.
Working knowledge of basic math skills and have the capacity to retain numbers.
Must be able to perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely with or without accommodation.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as, state, federal and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for leading a team of 1-5 team members.
Responsible for pick-packing line set up in line with productivity goals, such as: Team member productivity, Verification of product item and quantity, Validation of pick-packing line accuracy.
Assist in selecting Nicholas and Company orders if all grip ship items have been selected.
Ensure that all pick sheets have accurately been picked by the team members for the night.
Communicate with internal customers to ensure high service levels are consistently maintained.
Responsible for planning and releasing customer order waves to ensure efficient picking and order release.
Work closely with other warehouse team members and/or departments to ensure smooth and efficient order fulfillment.
Safely and securely pack products for shipment, ensuring packaging meets quality standards and protects items during transit.
Always maintain the workflow constant, while executing observation checks in all areas throughout the day to ensure best practice expectations are met.
Provide coverage to all areas of the warehouse to ensure all items selected are accurate and placed in the proper queue after the completion of selection.
Prepare items for shipment, including labeling packages, generating shipping documentation, and ensuring all orders are ready for dispatch in a timely manner.
Ensure accuracy in pick-packing performance base on customer orders, ensuring the right items and quantities are selected and maintain company ROA goals and to achieve company fill rate goals.
Complete other duties and assignments as directed by your supervisor/manager.
