About The Position

Responsible for final shaping, sizing, and finishing of orthotic devices to ensure proper fit, quality, and compliance with order specifications. Performs precision grinding, inspection, and verification of completed orthotics prior to cleaning and quality control.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 or more hours per day while performing the functions of the job
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and special instructions
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools and grinding equipment
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Regard for safety.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, production-focused environment.
  • Ability to learn and retain new information.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow processes and escalate issues appropriately.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed.

  • Ability to safely operate machinery and tools

Responsibilities

  • Pull orders from conveyor and manage work in controlled batch sizes
  • Remove orthotics and verify each product matches the associated order specifications.
  • Perform grinding on both left and right orthotics to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Use grinding equipment to smooth edges and refine the perimeter of the orthotic.
  • Scan completed orders out in the FLI Order Tracking system.
  • Place finished orthotics into tote and place on conveyor to send to next production stage.
  • Maintain the 6S workplace organization standards within the assigned area on a daily basis.
  • Ensure all work performed meets company standards for quality.
  • Support and operate in a lean manufacturing one piece flow environment.
  • Perform additional laboratory duties as assigned by the Lab Supervisor
