About The Position

Grinding/Polishing Operator | Build precision products that make an impact. As a Grinding/Polishing Operator, you'll play a key role in delivering high quality precision components to our customers. In this hands on role, you'll grind and polish parts to exact specifications while helping ensure safety, efficiency, and top-tier product quality. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Basic math and reading skills
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards
Experience using inspection tools and measuring equipment
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Understanding of safety standards (OSHA compliance)
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working on your feet and operating machinery

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Determines sequence of operations by studying the router, blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
Loads the appropriate parts on fixtures to polish parts.
Prepares machine for production by positioning parts.
Set and adjust controls.
Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting defects, inspecting parts, and adjusting controls.
Resolves production problems by adjusting controls and process materials to meet specifications.
Notifies supervisor for additional resources when necessary.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on a timely basis, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and alerting supervisor of necessity of repairs.
Meets daily production schedule.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Contributes to continuous improvement process.
Other duties as requested.
