About The Position

The Grinder performs repetitive production operations and other manual tasks after receiving training. The role involves safely operating equipment, handling and inspecting parts, completing production and quality checks, and maintaining an orderly work area in accordance with established 6S standards. The position pays $16.50.

Requirements

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Physical ability to stand and walk up to 10 hours per day; bend or twist the neck and waist up to 2 hours per day; perform repetitive hand and arm movements up to 10 hours per day; push or pull weight with assistance up to 2 hours per day; and lift up to 45 pounds for up to 4 hours per day.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow company and OSHA safety rules and regulations, understand machine safeguards, recognize and report safety hazards, and wear required PPE.
• Load and inspect parts, lift stringers and pans, change wheels, make minor CNC adjustments, perform machine maintenance, and monitor blade thickness.
• Inspect product quality using micrometers and/or visual inspections.
• Inform supervision of production or quality problems.
• Maintain the minimum standard rate.
• Accurately report production-part counts, scrap, and labor hours by completing required paperwork.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly in accordance with established 6S standards.
• Perform special assignments and/or duties as assigned.
