About The Position

Operate the grinder and dump station to maintain adequate levels of non-prime materials. The position includes testing and monitoring regrind materials, preparing products for grinding, maintaining inventory and throughput records, and filling in for other operators as needed. Work safely and efficiently using required personal protective and safety equipment and following applicable STW documentation or proper training techniques. Participate actively in Continuous Improvement, 5S, and STW activities. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Conduct silo readings and melt flow tests for each load of boxed regrind.
• Disassemble buy-back products and identify and remove contaminants, such as metal and fiberglass, from products to be ground.
• Operate the grinder and dump station.
• Count and verify regrind inventory and record grinding throughput.
• Fill in for operators as needed.
• Work safely and efficiently using required personal protective and safety equipment and devices, following STW documentation or proper training techniques where STW documentation is not available.
• Participate in and promote Continuous Improvement, 5S, and STW activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
