About The Position

Greenbridge is seeking a Grinder Operator to support the ongoing growth of the company. The role involves grinding preforms, strapping, and scrap to supply production and monitoring the quality of ground material. The operator also provides backup support for the Receiving Department, including railcar unloading, reading silos, loading recycled cardboard, and unloading packaging supplies. The Grinder Operator performs blade changes and dust collector filter servicing, maintains a clean work area, and follows all safety requirements. The position requires operating a forklift and using hand tools to service the grinder, while completing work independently, safely, and efficiently. Other tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to read and write and possess basic math skills.
Good mechanical aptitude and experience.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to use all tools and proper stamps, package product accordingly, and use other equipment successfully.
Good manual dexterity and agility.
Ability to physically lift 60 pounds to a six-foot height.

Prior manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Grind preforms, strapping, and scrap to supply production and monitor the quality of ground material.
Accurately report the amount and type of material ground.
Work with minimal supervision and complete tasks independently, safely, and efficiently.
Provide backup for the Receiving Department, including railcar unloading, reading silos, loading recycled cardboard, and unloading packaging supplies.
Perform blade changes and service dust collector filters by cleaning or changing them.
Work safely and understand and comply with all safety requirements.
Maintain clean grinding room, material staging areas, and receiving aisle.
Operate a forklift safely and effectively to stack, unstack, and position gaylords and tubs.
Use hand tools to service the grinder.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
