About The Position

The Grinder Operator operates the grinder and dump station to maintain adequate levels of non-prime materials. The role supports regrind processing and inventory accuracy, follows required safety procedures and work documentation, and participates in continuous improvement activities. The operator may also fill in for other operators and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Conduct silo readings and melt flow tests for each load of boxed regrind.
• Disassemble buy-back products and identify and remove contaminants, such as metal and fiberglass, from products to be ground.
• Operate the grinder and dump station.
• Count and verify regrind inventory and record grinding throughput.
• Fill in for operators as needed.
• Work safely and efficiently using required personal protective and safety equipment and devices, following STW documentation or proper training techniques when STW documentation is not available.
• Participate in and promote Continuous Improvement, 5S, and STW activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
