About The Position

Cargill is hiring a full-time Grinder Operator for its protein and salt business in Fort Worth, Texas. The role is on the first shift and pays $23.75 per hour. The operator handles frozen meat blocks and feeds materials into a grinder, monitors equipment and materials, and packs and labels finished products while following food safety, quality, cleanliness, and workplace safety practices. This position does not include relocation reimbursement.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate efficiently in English or Spanish.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Nice To Haves

• Previous forklift experience.
• Production experience in a packing or grinding department.
• Previous Cargill experience.
• Work history in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Fill out process paperwork.
• Use basic computer, tablet, and scan-gun functions.
• Lift frozen blocks of meat weighing up to 60 pounds into a grinder.
• Fill hoppers with the correct amounts and monitor materials.
• Check machines at regular intervals.
• Pack finished products into boxes and bags.
• Label and weigh products and verify that materials are correct.
• Stack boxes weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Maintain food safety and product quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
