About The Position

Cargill is hiring a Grinder Operator for its protein and salt business in Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves loading frozen meat into grinders, filling hoppers, monitoring materials and equipment, and packing, labeling, weighing, and verifying finished products. The operator also completes process paperwork, helps ensure food safety and product quality, maintains cleanliness and housekeeping, and contributes to a safe working environment. This is a full-time, first-shift position paying $23.75 per hour. Relocation reimbursement is not included.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate efficiently in English or Spanish.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Nice To Haves

• Previous forklift experience.
• Production experience in a packing or grinding department.
• Previous Cargill experience.
• Work history within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Complete process paperwork.
• Use basic computer or tablet functions and a scan gun.
• Lift frozen blocks of meat weighing up to 60 pounds into a grinder.
• Fill hoppers with the correct amounts and monitor materials.
• Check machines at regular intervals.
• Pack finished products into boxes and bags.
• Label and weigh products and verify that materials are correct.
• Stack boxes weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Ensure food safety and product quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
