About The Position

Grinder Operator sets up and operates the Grinder machine including assembly and disassembly of the equipment used in the production of the company's product. Responsible for measuring and checking raw materials, feeding materials for processing, and adjusting settings. Operators must follow all company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

High school education or up to one-month related experience or training.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to walk for extended periods.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Ability to reach with hands and arms.
Ability to climb or balance.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Ability to lift more than 100 pounds.

Bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

Be on the workstation ready to work and on time.
Maintain a good attendance and be flexible to working overtime and weekends as required.
Maintain a safe and sanitary work area in compliance with GMP and safety policies.
Set up and program Grinder equipment (including component identification).
Unload products from combo or boxes.
Debagging product using proper use of debagging utensils (knife or safety blade).
Weigh product using the floor scale and verify scale for accuracy daily.
Load product into the Grinder hopper according to customer specifications.
Accurately identify all raw materials used in the grinding process.
Read and interpret work instructions.
Check for foreign objects, for example, pieces of glove, metal, wood etc.
Report equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
Disassemble equipment at the end of the day.
Follow safety procedures (LOTO).
Prepare machine for Sanitation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
