About The Position
SUMMARY: Operate scrap grinder under the direction of the Shift Supervisor ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. Works under the close direction of the shift supervisor Operate scrap grinder, including handling and separating materials, filing containers with regrind and keeping production records Operates hand and power trucks when necessary Assist in any phase of shop operations Set-ups and changeovers Cleaning and painting equipment Sweeping and cleaning Handling, storing materials and supplies Always uses safe working practices and report hazardous conditions Keeps equipment and work area clean and works in a safe manner Fill out reports as required Performs other miscellaneous jobs as directed QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to perform physical and visual requirements.
- Experience with computers and basic keyboarding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and operating instructions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
