Grind Team Member - Porter Corp
About The Position
This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of products before and during the shot blast process. The team member will actively participate in continuous improvement efforts to meet department and company goals, foster team building, and provide constructive feedback to the team and supervisor. A positive work environment and adherence to all company procedures and policies are expected. The position requires a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned, operating hand tools, hi-lo, and cranes, and reading work instructions. Basic computer skills and proficiency with systems like EPICOR ERP are also necessary. The ideal candidate will possess positive interpersonal skills, be open-minded, self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of reading blueprints and measuring tools.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating hand tools, hi-lo and cranes.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions.
- Basic computer skill proficiency
- Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems.
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Must be open-minded to new ideas and concepts.
- Must be self-motivated and results oriented.
- Ability to read and Interpret blueprints and other written documents.
- Safe and efficient operation of hand tools and equipment
- Accuracy and completeness of work delivered to all customers.
- Ability to read measuring tools and tape measurers.
- Good attendance and punctuality

- Stay customer focused.
- Able to lift, up to, 50 pounds, bend, stand for long periods of time, stooping etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
