About The Position

Vaughn & BCI is seeking a skilled Grill Cook to prepare and serve grilled food items for military personnel at Warner Robins Air Force Base. The Grill Cook is responsible for grilling meats and other food products to order, ensuring accuracy, presentation, and adherence to safety and military food standards.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of grilling techniques, food safety, and proper temperature control
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Must pass background screening for access to Warner Robins AFB

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1+ year of grill or short-order cooking experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and cook grilled menu items including meats, poultry, vegetables, and breakfast items
  • Operate and maintain grills, flat tops, broilers, and other cooking equipment
  • Follow standardized recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines
  • Ensure food is cooked to proper internal temperatures and served promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grill station and cooking utensils
  • Assist with restocking, prep work, and food rotation as needed
  • Comply with HACCP, food safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Communicate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal service during peak times
  • Provide courteous and professional service to all personnel
