Grill Cook (Full Time)
About The Position
Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to provide high-quality food service. The position is full time, located in Mountain View, California, and scheduled Monday through Thursday; hours may vary. The pay range is $27.80 to $28.63 per hour. One year of supervisory line cooking experience is required. Most weekends and holidays are off, and free shift meals are offered. Bon Appétit Management Company operates cafés for corporations, universities, and museums, as well as public restaurants. Requirements
- One year of supervisory line cooking experience.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation.
- Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations.
- Serve customers efficiently and in a friendly manner while following established service steps and standards.
- Ensure food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty; taste prepared food items.
- Use established ticket-collection procedures during service.
- Maintain records for the assigned work area during service periods.
- Follow approved recipes and production standards for food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between workstations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas using standard wrapping, dating, food-safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
- Resolve customer concerns and report relevant information and concerns to a supervisor.
- Attend in-service and safety meetings.
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
- Work safely and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
