About The Position

The Grill Cook prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations. The role supports high-quality food service by preparing customer orders, serving food efficiently and courteously, maintaining food quality and temperature, and following established recipes, portion controls, and food safety procedures. The position is based at Navy Federal Credit Union in Pensacola, Florida, and is offered full time at a fixed rate of $18.00 per hour. The schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with days varying. A $250 sign-on bonus is offered; an internal employee referral bonus is also available.

Requirements

Must have grill cooking experience.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation.
Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations.
Serve customers efficiently and in a friendly manner while following established service steps and standards.
Ensure food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty; taste prepared food items.
Use established ticket-collection procedures and maintain records for the assigned area during service periods.
Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
Clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
Resolve customer concerns and report relevant information and concerns to a supervisor.
Attend in-service and safety meetings.
Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
Perform the job safely and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
